His Patient-First Philosophy
- Every patient deserves a thorough, epoch-by-epoch review — not a summary.
- Treatment must be tailored to the individual, not a one-size-fits-all prescription.
- Patients should understand their own data and feel confident in their care.
- Transparency and honesty are the foundation of good medicine.
Leadership Background
A Record of Patient Advocacy
Before founding Stuart Sleep, Dr. Herstein served as Chief Medical Officer and Chief Hospital Administrator for the State of Florida's entire Behavioral and Mental Health in-patient system — overseeing care for more than 3,500 patients across eight hospitals and leading nearly 4,500 clinical and support staff.
During his tenure, Dr. Herstein was a staunch advocate for transparency and patient safety, challenging systemic issues and fighting to improve care standards. His efforts included bringing attention to gaps in patient safety protocols and advocating for meaningful reform.
This experience deeply informs his patient-first approach at Stuart Sleep, where he prioritizes thorough diagnostics, clear communication, and individualized care above all else.
